The first-degree burn is when the burn happens on the outer layer of the skin like when you put your finger in any hot object or when you forget to apply some sunblock, usually burns the area.
As the skin is sensitive to heat so is the hair. The degree of burns is classified as first, second, third, and fourth-degree burns depending upon the depth and the severity of the damage caused to the layer of the skin. The burns that go beyond the layer of the skin will damage the affected area causing hair loss.
When third or fourth-degree burns happen, they damage the lower layer of the skin. These layers contain hair follicles and destroy them causing scarring. This scarring signifies permanent hair loss. Second-degree burns can also lead to hair loss which might be treatable. The main reason behind this is Second degree burns do not destroy the hair follicles.
